Prishtina Jazz Festival 2007, the third edition, was a big challenge to organize. Problems and obstacles were numerous, mainly of a technical and financial nature, and in many ways the support for it is surprisingly smaller despite the success of first two editions, despite the glorifying critics and evaluations, despite the fact that is was publicly announced as one of the most important cultural events in Kosova. Of course, the difficult transition period that we are going through which creates problems of a political, cultural and most importantly economical nature, reflect on our society and our festival. To put it simply – there is almost no interest for cultural events especially by our institutions which are supposed to support, encourage and help these kind of events.

Nevertheless, we continue ahead and consider ourselves very lucky to have a festival which has many generous friends, which support our festival in any way they can. We have international friends which understand what are we doing here, what is our aim and support us. We are lucky to work and collaborate with great artists and their managers who understand and agree to work with us even at times when we can`t provide the minimum of conditions for their performance. And last but not least, we have the greatest possible audience which fills out completely our concerts and jam sessions, for which we are eternally grateful and thankful.

So, we move ahead, together!
